Chris can't get along with anyone. When he's attacked in the street Bobby, a manic single dad, jumps in. The two set out into the Montreal night together crashing parties, meeting girls, and eventually seeing Bobby's estranged daughter - Chris soon discovers that the underside to Bobby's charm is a self-destructive streak. Over the course of the night, as they come to know each other they try not to lose themselves.

Shoelaces for Christmas 2018

After an altercation with her ailing mother, Jennifer, a self-absorbed teenager inadvertently stumbles into a local homeless shelter late one evening. Upset with his daughter's selfish attitude, Jennifer's father offers an ultimatum which includes her volunteering at the shelter in the hope she will learn to be responsible and compassionate toward others. Through this new experience Jennifer creates an unlikely bond with both the staff and one very special young guest which lead her to a deeper understanding of the true meaning of Christmas is love and family.

Victor is a screenwriter whose last work about the Marechal Pétain is refused by his producer. To add insult to injury, he tells Victor he is paunchy. The unfortunate man becomes obsessed by his weight. He goes out of his way to lose pounds, abetted by his wife, Corinne, who puts him on a reducing diet. He must also go to a health center where he takes exercise. Nothing really works. And one day, in a brewery, he cannot withstand his diet anymore and he has a gastronomic meal. Desperate, he tries his luck at a weight watchers reunion.
