Tyler Perry's House of Payne is an American comedy-drama television series created and produced by playwright, director, and producer Tyler Perry. The show revolved around a multi-generational family living under one roof in Atlanta led by patriarch Curtis Payne and his wife Ella. The show premiered in syndication on June 21, 2006, and new episodes were broadcast exclusively on TBS from June 6, 2007, until August 10, 2012. While primarily a comedy sitcom, House of Payne was known for featuring dark themes and subject matter, such as substance abuse and addiction. It also had elements of slapstick. The storyline of the show is serialized, with many references to past episodes, creating a continuing story arc. House of Payne aired more episodes than any other television series with a predominantly African American cast, surpassing The Jeffersons, Family Matters and The Cosby Show.

The Jack Perry Show

The Jack Perry Show is an early Australian variety television series. Broadcast on Melbourne station GTV-9, it was one of the very first regular series by the station. It was hosted by Jack Perry, aired live and also featured guests. Lasting about a month, the half-hour series aired at 7:30PM, with competition in the time-slot consisting of British series The Adventures of Robin Hood on HSV-7 and American sitcom Life with Elizabeth on ABV-2. Although his variety series was short-lived, host Jack Perry proved popular with 1950s and 1960s era Melbourne viewers as part of the clown duo Zig and Zag, who had a long running children's show on station HSV-7 originally titled Peters Fun Fair. Although kinescope recording had been developed, given the short run and the era it aired in, the series is most likely lost.

Melissa Harris-Perry is a current affairs and political commentary television program on MSNBC hosted by American author and academic Melissa Harris-Perry. The program airs in the morning on weekends. Harris-Perry had been a frequent contributor and guest host for the network until it was announced that she will host a program of her own. The eponymous show debuted on February 18, 2012. She remains a professor at Tulane University and commutes to New York City on the weekends to host the show.
